Associate Professor, Respiratory and Infectious Diseases Program, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University
Current Areas of Interest
Understanding the transmission mechanism of a range of human respiratory viruses such as Respiratory Syncytial viruses, Human Influenza viruses and SARs-CoV-2, and zoonotic viruses such as Avian Influenza viruses and the Encephalomyocarditis virus. The aim is to derive antiviral strategies targeting relevant viral and host proteins, and vaccine development to prevent further infections. I employ an array of interdisciplinary methods from virological areas, omics, molecular biology, imaging and cell biology in my research.
